Hi, it's Therese, and I am back with another edition of Take 2 with Therese! Today, I'm sharing two beautiful ‘antique floral' cards, using Altenew's Artist Alcohol Markers.

How long has it been since you used your alcohol markers?

Today, I am sharing 2 ideas that will make you want to get your alcohol markers out and color! 

Alcohol Markers offer such a variety of coloring techniques!  And I have 2 ways to use Altenew's Artist Alcohol Markers to create some stunning antique flowers that you can add to your card designs.  If coloring is not your thing, then make sure to check out today's second technique, because anyone can do this one!

Alcohol Marker Technique #1 – Coloring

The most obvious technique is simply coloring.  But, I know that this can be intimidating for some, so in my video today, I am going to walk you through how to get the ‘antique floral' look.  And, if you are game, how you can step it up and achieve greater depth and realism.

A bouquet, such as Blooming Delight, is perfect for an antique floral design.  Or, you could create your own layered bouquet using single floral images if you prefer.  I like to mix different flowers and different colors together.

To decorate, I added some simple Black Onyx Gem Sparkles.

Alcohol Marker Technique #2 – Layered Die-Cut Flower

So you bought markers and haven't really bonded with them…  or maybe, you just want to try something a little different.  Why not create your own alcohol marker colored cardstock and then add further depth and color after die cutting them!  That's exactly what I did here with this Craft-A-Flower: Rose.

I kept the colors very similar, but of course you can use whatever colors you have or prefer.  Adding splatters of Pure White and Jet Black Ink Spray also adds a soft ‘antique' feel.

I stamped a Versatile Vases image, as well as a sentiment from the Cupped Flowers Bundle (for both cards today).
