Hi, crafty friends! Erum here, today I’m sharing a couple of elegant Eid cards featuring Altenew’s beautiful Eid-themed products combined with other elements from the May release collection.
For these projects, I wanted to create cards that feel festive and luxurious while still being simple and easy to recreate. By combining embossed details, layered ink blending, metallic gold accents, and intricate die cuts, you can create polished Eid cards in no time.
I also loved working with colored cardstock for these projects. Changing the tone of cardstock with ink blending is such an easy way to add depth and dimension while keeping the card designs cohesive.
Let’s take a closer look at today’s cards!

Card 1: Embossed Alhambra Eid Card
Prepare the Background Panel
- Start by trimming Volcano Lake Cardstock from the Spring Serenade Multi-Color Cardstock Pack to create two card panels.
- Use the leftover piece to create an embossed accent strip using the New Year Arabic Calligraphy 3D Embossing Folder. Lightly mist the cardstock before embossing to help prevent cracking. Place the cardstock inside the embossing folder and run it through your die-cutting machine.
Add Ink Blending
- To deepen the tone of the cardstock, blend Nimbus Fresh Dye Ink around the edges of the panel using a light hand.
- Repeat the same inking process on the embossed strip, keeping the center lighter and the edges darker for added dimension.
Die Cut the Cover Plate
- Use the Alhambra Cover Plate Die and leftover cardstock. Lightly ink blend the die-cut to coordinate it with the background panel.
Add Gold Details
- Using the gold marker from the Essential Permanent Marker Set, carefully go over the embossed design to highlight the details.
- Add gold splatters using the Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set for extra shine and festive elegance.
Assemble the Eid Card
- Adhere the cover plate die cut using foam tape for dimension.
- Add thin strips of Brushed Gold Metallic Cardstock on the top and bottom edges of the embossed strip to frame the design beautifully.
- Complete the card assembly by adhering all the elements to the card front.
Card 2: Ombre' Happy Eid Card
Emboss the Background
- Emboss a panel of Volcano Lake Cardstock using the Happy Eid Arabic Calligraphy 3D Embossing Folder.
Ink Blend Through the Stencil
- Secure the coordinating stencil in place with Glue Tape. Blend Mystic Lake Fresh Dye Ink over the stencil opening and deepen selected areas using Teal Tempest Fresh Dye Ink to create shadows and dimension.
Add Metallic Highlights
- Place the stencil back over the panel and apply Antique Gold Pigment Ink using a foam dauber for subtle metallic accents.
- Finish the panel with gold splatters from the Metallic Watercolor 14 Pan Set.
Add the Eid Sentiment
- Die cut a sentiment from the Eid Greetings Die Set and adhere it to the card front with a bit of gold thread tucked underneath for extra texture and elegance.
- Finish with sequins.
I hope today’s cards gave you some inspiration for creating elegant Eid projects using products already in your collection. I love how simple techniques like embossing, ink blending, and touches of gold can instantly elevate a card design and make it feel festive and luxurious.
Whether you prefer intricate cover plates or bold embossed backgrounds, these ideas are easy to customize with different color palettes and sentiments for your own handmade Eid cards.
