A New Idea for Quick and Elegant Memory Keeping (With Video Tutorial!)

Hello friends! It's Nathalie with you today with a new idea for quick and elegant memory keeping featuring the new Washi Paper Stickers. These new products are practical, beautiful, and versatile, you are going to want to use them all over again.  They are an easy way to bring color and beauty to any project in seconds, no need for inks, stamps or dies.

Let's take a look at what I have created with these amazing products:

I love how this turned out and  it was so easy to put it together.  And did I mention;  no ink, dies, or stencils were used to create all the floral clusters!  Here is how this came together:

Frame Your Photo

I am using a double frame to bring the photo to be the focal point of this layout.  I cut the picture into a shape using one of the Ornate Nesting Dies.  Then, I framed the picture once again with another of  the same die cuts, but this time I added an overlay of the Honeycomb Daisies Cover die.  This adds a bit of subtle interest to the picture while keeping it simple and clean.

To make the picture a bit more, I added a frame of florals using the new Painted Floral Extravaganza Washi Paper Sticker set, and Painted Floral Fantasy Washi Paper Sticker set.  All the color and detail in the florals works together nicely to frame and anchor the picture, and it took just a few minutes.  Think of it as peel-and-stick florals.

Adding Details

I am keeping the embellishments on the picture simple.  I added a few pieces from the Everyday Essentials Washi Paper Sticker set,  but first adhered them to white cardstock  then fussy cut around the piece before attaching them to the picture.  By adding them to the cardstock, it makes them a bit more visible as it adds opacity to the image.  I am also adding extra interest to the picture by bringing some texture through a few loops of twine and a simple bow on top of the frame.

I am also bringing  extra interest to the page using a few butterfly die cuts created using the Mini Delight Butterfly Dreams and Obsidian Pigment Ink.   These are scattered throughout the page and work as a means to bring movement, dimension, and to link all the layout together, making it cohesive.

Embellishments and Finishing Touches

To finish my idea for a quick and elegant memory keeping layout, I am adding a simple stamped title to the opposite (diagonally) corner to the picture.  I am combining sentiments from Mini Delight Vinyl Delight, and Flutter & Bloom and a small floral cluster in my title work.  A few Crystal Clear Enamel Dots complete the layout.

Process Video

I have created a video showcasing how this layout comes together.  You can watch here or in Altenew YouTube channel in HD. Hopefully the video gives you a closer insight on how easily this layout comes together.
